CED is changing the lives of millions of people in need in Somalia. We work in following Districts, Regions and States in the country namely but not limited; Bal’ad, Jowhar, Mahaday, Warsheikh, Adale, Adenyabal districs of Middle shabelle region, Beletweinn district of Hiran region – Hirshabelle State, Afgoye, Qorioley, Merca, Barawe and Wanlaweyn districts of Lower shabelle region – Southwest State, Eldher, Adado of Galgadud region, and Galkacyo of Mudug region -Galmudug state, and all the 17 districts of Banadir Regional Administration (Mogadishu).We serve the population from our offices in Somalia. Our main office is in Mogadishu.
When disasters or emergencies arise, CED is on the ground to support the communities recover from the impact of disasters or emergencies. In the new reconstruction and state building phase of Somalia, CED has focused on interventions that build the capacity of the youth and women in economic development, protection in the form of promotion of human rights, access to justice, gender equality and social inclusion, democratization, good governance, peace building and conflict resolutions to tap into the emerging economic and political social development opportunities.
This we do both as an economic necessity and as a social imperative. The different offices and personnel work closely to ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of programmes. The lessons learned from these efforts contribute largely to the innovations and new programming frontiers that CED has pursued in its work in Somalia.
